What Focus Feed Does
Focus Feed lets you follow YouTube channels via publicly available RSS feeds and view their content in a chronological, algorithm-free feed. Video playback is provided exclusively through YouTube's official embedded IFrame Player. Focus Feed does not download, save, convert, or extract video or audio from YouTube or any other source — all playback is streamed directly through YouTube's own player.
Information We Collect
Account information (optional): If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) via Google Sign-In, used only to sync your followed channels and settings across devices.
Channel subscriptions and app settings: The list of YouTube channels you follow, keyword filters, and app preferences are stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, synced securely to our cloud storage so your setup carries over between devices.
Purchase information: Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing, Amazon Appstore, or Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit), depending on where you downloaded the app. We do not receive or store your payment card details — purchase validation is handled by the respective platform.
We do not collect: video or audio content, browsing history outside the app, or any data unrelated to app functionality.
Third-Party Services
YouTube API Services: Focus Feed uses YouTube API Services to retrieve channel and video metadata. By using Focus Feed, you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In: Used only if you opt to create an account; governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Billing providers: Google Play Billing, Amazon Appstore, and Apple StoreKit each process payments under their own privacy terms.
Background Playback
When enabled, Focus Feed continues audio/video playback only while the video remains visible on screen — either in the main app or in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode. Playback pauses automatically when the video is no longer visible (for example, when the screen locks or PiP is closed), in line with YouTube's embedded player requirements.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored data (followed channels, settings) remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Cloud-synced data (if you've signed in) is retained until you delete your account or contact us to request deletion.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at tboneapps@outlook.com. If you're located in the UK/EEA, you have rights under UK GDPR/GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.
Children's Privacy
Focus Feed is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
