What Tbone Browser Does
Tbone Browser is a whitelist-based web browser with tamper-resistant tools — including a self-commitment timer, adult content blocking, whitelist enforcement, and an optional text/image-only browsing mode — designed to help users control and limit their own web browsing.
Information We Collect
Whitelist and settings: The list of websites/pages you whitelist, your Commitment Timer settings, Daily Browser Timer settings, and mode preferences (e.g. text/image-only mode) are stored locally on your device.
Backup & Restore data: If you use the Backup & Restore feature, your settings and whitelist are stored in cloud storage so they can be restored to a device later.
Friend/Parent Lock: If you set up a password for Friend/Parent Lock or text/image-only mode, it is stored on your device in hashed form only — we do not have access to your password and cannot recover it for you.
Purchase information: Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing, Amazon Appstore, or Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit), depending on where you downloaded the app. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Time verification: To keep the Commitment Timer tamper-resistant, the app may make a network request to a public NTP (time) server to cross-check the device clock. This request does not include any personal information.
We do not collect: your browsing history, the pages you visit, or any record of your web activity is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
Third-Party Services
Billing providers: Google Play Billing, Amazon Appstore, and Apple StoreKit each process payments under their own privacy terms.
NTP time servers: Used only for timestamp verification, not for tracking.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored data (whitelist, settings, timer state) remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Cloud-synced backup data is retained until you delete it or contact us to request deletion.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at tboneapps@outlook.com. If you're located in the UK/EEA, you have rights under UK GDPR/GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.
Children's Privacy
Tbone Browser is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
